Kevin & Gillian Bird

Kevin and Gillian were previously an Accountant and Primary School teacher respectively. After the children were grown they fulfilled their calling of overseas mission work, going to Cambodia in 2014. They now live and work in the Battambang province in the North West of Cambodia. Gillian is working for a Christian Education focused INGO, teaching the Teachers and creating vernacular teaching and classroom resources. Kevin is working in the area of Scripture Access, and Scripture Engagement. This involves working primarily with rural pastors and leaders and sharing resources with them which will enable them to use and teach the Bible effectively. Together, they share knowledge about Christian resources and encourage literacy development in the wider Christian community, seeking to remove barriers to accessing and understanding the scriptures, with a focus on more remote and rural people.
