Brian & Joan Finlay

Brian has had many years’ experience in the building industry. Prior to their marriage Joan was a translator with SIL in Vanuatu. From 1993 they served as a family on staff of Pacific Orientation Course in Papua New Guinea for three years, and then at SIL Darwin for five and a half years. Most recently they served at Wycliffe Australia and SIL Australia’s Centre in Kangaroo Ground near Melbourne for twenty years in various maintenance, training and admin roles. They relocated back to Te Puke (NZ) in 2022. Joan now works for the Wycliffe NZ home office, mostly from home, answering inquiries and assisting new members in their pathway to service with Wycliffe. Brian assists with some building and maintenance jobs as he is able.
