Fay Barker

Raised in Auckland, Fay came to Christ in her twenties and first worked with Wycliffe in the 1970s and 80s. With co-worker Janet Lee she saw the Waskia New Testament completed in Papua New Guinea, then spent several years in Indonesia as a translation consultant before returning to New Zealand in 1990. She re-joined Wycliffe in 2007 and the Lord opened the doors for her to return to Papua New Guinea to work as a translation consultant and to assist in the revision of the Waskia Scriptures. From 2017 she has been based in New Zealand, but continues to assist the Waskia translators as they draft further books of the Old Testament into their language.
