David is a Canadian and Christine is a New Zealander. They completed the Sochiapam Chinantec New Testament (Mexico) in 1986. From 1987 they were Regional Reps in Auckland.
In 1994 David graduated with a PhD in Linguistics through Auckland University. From 1997 until December 2004 Christine served in the Member Relations Dept for WBT NZ. David served as National Training Co-ordinator and Principal of NZ SIL from 1993 until 2003.
David then resumed work on Sochiapam Chinantec Projects including the trilingual Chinantec/Spanish/English dictionary. Mid 2005 David and Christine took up an assignment in Mexico for a year and a half, furthering the work amongst the Chinantec people. After lecturing at the SIL school in Peru 2007-2008, David and Christine returned to the Auckland Wycliffe office and made further trips to Mexico and Peru.
