Nick & Lydia Hight

Nick is from Christchurch and Lydia is from North Carolina. They met at the Canada Institute of Linguistics where they each earned an MA in Linguistics and developed a desire to help bring God’s Word to Bibleless people groups.

To accelerate that pace of Bible translation projects worldwide, they are serving as computational linguists with a software initiative called TBTA. They help to develop computer-assisted first-draft translations of Scripture in minority languages in less than the usual time, allowing local communities to devote the bulk of their effort to revising those translations for naturalness and clarity.

They have one amazing daughter, Felicity, and live in Christchurch.
