Ira & Katy Hopkinson

Ira and Katy spent several years in the Wycliffe New Zealand home office involved with personnel and IT.

In 2013, they and their four children went to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Ira was a team leader, writing translation and language development software for SIL Global and Katy was working in Scripture engagement. They returned to NZ and settled in Tauranga in 2022.

Ira currently leads a software team working on the most trusted Bible translation software (see paratext.org). They are modernising this software which has served the Bible translation movement for more than 30 years.
