Robert served on the NZ Council from 1981. In 1987 Robert and Leanne joined Wycliffe. Since then, they have served in administrative roles with Wycliffe NZ, SIL in Vanuatu, and Wycliffe Australia and the Global Alliance. They were based in Manila, Philippines for 16 years until 2016, and Leanne served as an Elementary and Middle School teacher at Faith Academy.
