Mike served in the RNZAF followed by working with dangerous goods responsibilities in various government departments. Shelley worked as an administrator, and in 2005 we started our own company in the field of hazardous substances.

We have two adult sons - Kyle, and John who is married to Jonelle and who have two lovely children Zoe and Cian.

We joined WBT NZ in 2020 and began management of Tree Tops Lodge Cairns in 2021, being seconded to WBT Australia.  The lodge provides affordable accommodation, in a tropical rainforest backdrop, for missionaries and their families serving throughout South-East Asia, Australia and the South Pacific. It's a place where they can go for a much-needed holiday, a time of renewal, or to recuperate following medical procedures.

After completing our 2 year term in 2023, we returned home to New Zealand. We are currently available to assist as Relief Managers for Tree Tops Lodge, allowing the the full-time managers to take much-needed breaks. We also lead occasional trips to Tree Tops with a work team from our home church.
