David & Wendy Nicholls

Wendy joined Wycliffe NZ in 1980. She and David, a Wycliffe Australia member, served at the JAARS Centre in USA, followed by four years in Papua New Guinea where David worked as an aircraft engineer and Wendy in the Technical Studies Department. After a year in New Caledonia in a translation role, they spent nine years in Vanuatu in administration and translation work in the South Efate language project. Then followed seven years with Wycliffe Australia in leadership and administration. David and Wendy then took up roles with SIL Australia where David was Principal Executive Officer until 2011, and Wendy continues to serve as Academic Administrator. Since 2011, David has worked in various roles in leadership and language program support in the SIL Pacific Area and currently serves as Associate Area Director (Strategy) in the SIL Asia Pacific Area, while continuing with language program support, and teaching several units at SIL Australia.
